"Very accurate and efficient!"

“As a result of our ability to interface with our fleet management system we are also able to access the data on our computers and in addition the data is being stored for documentation storage and evaluation purposes. With the regular checks of our vehicles which assures correct tire pressure, breakdowns can largely be prevented.”

"We invested in a very modern and sophisticated tire pressure device. With this application it is possible for a driver in measuring his tire pressure, profile depth and to have an axle weight control within 1 minute. This service is also available for customers."

Steve Sturgess, a journalist with more than 30 years’ experience in automotive journalism, blogs about the PNEUSCAN system by VENTECH:

“I thought it pretty brilliant when I first saw it, but to hear the success MVT is having with it makes me even more excited. (…) The device reads tire pressure and tread depth as a vehicle rolls over the scan strip at speeds to 16 mph. Using the in-ground sensor strip, a fleet can keep track of tire pressures and no longer require drivers or technicians to get out the gauge and stick the tires one at a time. (…) But while this is an excellent way to detect tire problems, it is the management side of things that attracts me. To have the data posted to the vehicle means a maintenance manager has almost daily reports on tires that are underinflated and can act in real time to address the problem. Since the device also measures tread depth, the system can flag tires that are ready for removal and retread. And the maintenance manager can be confident the casing of the tire is in good condition because it has always been correctly inflated.”

“Very accurate and efficient!! Initial, our staff was skeptical, but now they trust in and rely on PNEUSCAN completely. The fuel mileage has improved by 3.6% since the installation of PNEUSCAN. When looking at this number, we must also consider the new coaches we have added. Besides that, we went from 1.5 tire-related breakdowns per month to ZERO!! Also, we identify and repair break-related issues must faster than we did before. Furthermore, we found out that we could quickly detect potential brake system issues through high pressure identification.
So now we are able to identify tire-related issues immediately, and create/send a work order to our repair bays before the coach even arrives. This creates amazing efficiencies and allows us to quickly catch issues that might have taken us much longer to detect in the past.
Overall, VENTECH has helped to create huge efficiencies and savings for COTA… It just makes good sense! PNEUSCAN makes tire monitoring, maintenance and safety "automatic"!”

Meijer‘s experience with PNEUSCAN System:

Part of Meijer’s philosophy with their private fleet of trucks is to be a good corporate citizen by caring for the environment and being safe on the road. David Hoover, Director of Outbound Logistics at Meijer addresses a new technology by VENTECH that they use to check tire pressures on their fleet of vehicles and how this choice helps to maximize fuel economy and the life of the tire thus helping the environment.

“We are always looking out for what it´s out there in technology and it´s got to be both - good for business and good for the environment. (...) It is vital that you´re maximizing the air pressure both for the fleet economy and the life of your tires. So it is important that you manage that as best as you can. That´s why we went to a system to drive over that we can actually get the tire pressure as we drive over it. Systematically the system we installed is checking about 4,000 tires a week versus somebody out there checking it. We are able to manage the tires with the technology we have implemented. It is a vital role because they are expensive tires.”
